Kanye’s newest album, “My Dark Twisted Fantasy”, is damn good. But it’s better on vinyl!

We’ve had some wacky weather around here lately; warm then cold, dry and then raining. I always say that’s why Californians are nuts; the weather changes so rapidly it messes with your sinuses. Anyways, there was some major rain and snow last Saturday, but it stopped just long enough for me to drive down to Lake Forest without getting drenched.

Tried out this new restaurant with the wifey last Friday with some friends. Called 25 Degrees, it’s located just of Main Street, on Walnut, in Downtown Huntington Beach. It’s a burger + wine joint, and wifey tried the #1. I had a customer burger with ground sirloin, monterrey jack, bacon, garlic aioli, lettuce and onions on a homemade bun. Man was it good! I’ll be back for sure.

This is my mother’s recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies. As you can tell, this recipe has been through hell and back, but it still makes the best chocolate chip cookies out of all the recipes I’ve tried!

I knew this was gonna be tough! Not because I’m an unwilling participant, but because this time of year is so busy for me. I was able to take a mini-break a couple weeks ago on Friday afternoon. After replacing our cable modem at Time Warner, I ran by my mothers to pickup mail. Sitting outside was Spike, looking for some attention. As you can see, Spike has some nice teeth on him. He tried to show them to me first hand when I tried to leave, as he jumped on my leg and gave me a little love bite! It was all in good fun, at least I think it was.

My mother always gave me grief about how I organized my food. I remember sorting my Wild Berry Skittles in high school by color, leaving all of the raspberry ones to the end. Looks like I still do this, as I found myself organizing my Peanut Butter M&M’s by color tonight. Some might say it’s anal to do such a thing. I say anal would be making sure all of the ‘m’ logos lined up perfectly.

What’s with me and spiders lately? First, the one on the light outside our apartment allowed me to witness him (her?) putting the finishing touchers on dinner, and now I find this little guy on my windshield today. I was having a frustrating morning, so I decided to make a Starbucks run during lunch, just to get out of the office for a while. And low and behold, this spider was chilling on my windshield. He was a furry one too! He didn’t stand a chance when I began driving though; hope the landing wasn’t too tough!

After dinner tonight, wifey decided she wanted Golden Spoon. On our way out the door, I noticed a spider web on the light between our apartment and the neighbors door. Upon further inspection, the owner of said web was in the process of having his/her dinner too. I managed to snap a photo before the fly was wrapped up and whisked away for a late night snack.

I finally received notification that my license was approved and my application fee cashed, meaning I can officially call myself a CPA! That’s huge for me, as all my hard work has finally paid off. Wifey decided we need to celebrate, so she bought a bottle of Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial from BevMo for Friday night. Can’t wait to take a night to enjoy myself and relax.

A client brought these pastries in the other day at work. She brings us various items from this bakery, the Cream Pan, in Tustin, CA, from time to time, but never had we gotten these. Strawberry Croissants are the specialty of the Cream Pan, and I can see why. They were good, ddaaaammmmnnnnn good, if I must say.
